Ish!
The Republican Party picked the twin cities to host the 2008 presidential convention. That's gross.

Recently President Bush has asked congress to reaxmine America's definition of the Geneva convention to allow "more aggressive interogation techniques". Of course what he means is he wants the American military and CIA to torture prisoners. The president wants the CIA and military to be able to use the following techniques: icy cold rooms, forced standing for a long period of time, sleep deprivation, grabbing a suspect's shirt, punching a suspect's stomach, and using loud noise and bright lights. According to Bill O'Reilly, torturing suspects is A-Okay with him in war on terror. Yes Bill!!! Keeping someone up for days a time while blasting them with outrageously loud music, shining extremely bright lights in their eyes while at the same time punching them in the stomach IS TORTURE!! This is more than just being a bit more agressive. President Bush is asking for the congress to give us the permission to torture suspects. Congress has not voted on it but it is allegedly going to be an extremely close vote with right now every single democrat opposing re-examining the Generva conventions plus three republicans. Yes that means except for three republicans, every single one of the rest of them is pro-torture. What a second? I thought republicans were the Christian party?!?! Yeah, I can really see Jesus being pro-torture. What a load of BS this adminsitration is!
BANGKOK — Thailand's army commmander ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in a military coup Tuesday night while he was in New York, circling his offices with tanks, declaring martial law and revoking the constitution.
There have been 44 homicides in north Minneapolis so far this year. For the first time ever, please God, snow quickly so that kids stop killing kids. Earlier today, a group of three men shot and killed a fifteen year old boy on Dowry Avenue in North Minneapolis after he refused to give up his throw-back Marbury jersey. This is madness! Shooting a kid over a jersey. I don't understand. The economy is supposed to be good. Stocks are doing well. The only thing I can think of is America is becoming more of a nation of the haves and the have-nots. The haves are probably doing great. The Barrington's of the world are closing more real estate deals and opening new car dealerships then ever before; while the South Siders of the world are becoming in worse and worse shape. Something must be done but poverty in America is one of those things that no one wants to talk about or do anything about. It's not a glamorous political issue like gay marriage, abortion, stem cell research, et cetera. Jesus only was quoted over 300 times directly talking about poverty but what I think he really would care about is if there can be prayer before high school football games. That's what congress should be talking about. Thank goodness they our. It makes sense to me. I was thinking the other day if I became president what the first thing I wouuld do would be. There is the war in Iraq, terror, stem cell research... The greatest threat to America is not Middle Eastern Terror, it is not AIDS, it's poverty. To quote Gandhi, "We must be the change we hope to see."
