Oh Rivers

The world has turned and left me here
Just where I was before you appeared
And in your place an empty space
Has filled the void behind my face

I just made love with your sweet memory
One thousand times in my head
You said you loved it more than ever
You said

You remain turned away
Turning further every day

The world has turned and left me here
Just where I was before you appeared
And in your place an empty space
Has filled the void behind my face

I talked for hours to your wallet photograph
And you just listened
You laughed enchanted by my intellect
Or maybe you didn't

You remain turned away
Turning further every day

The world has turned and left me here
Just where I was before you appeared
And in your place an empty space
Has filled the void behind my face

You remain, turned away
Turning further every day

The world has turned and left me here
Just where I was before you appeared
And in your place, an empty space
Has filled the void behind my face

Do you believe what I sing now?
Do you believe what I sing now?
Do you believe?

Do you believe what I sing now?
Do you believe what I sing now?
Do you believe?

I miss my Weezer. When I was a 16 year old, music consumed every ounce of my soul. I came home and threw on my Weezer, my Ozma, my Strokes, Jimmy Eat World, and could just listen for hours. I'm tired of music today. I just received my latest edition of Spin and not one of the articles about current musicians did anything for me. I'm sad because I went to my iTunes and I found out that every song I listened to was a minimum of two years old. I was listening to old Weezer, Beatles, old Wilco, old Shins, and some Eric Clapton. I turn on the radio and nothng is doing anything for me. I beg you my friends, make copies of CD's that you think I would have interest in and send them to me. I want to be inspired again. I want to have a new CD that I can't wait to be done with work so I can drive home and listen to it. I've bought quite a few cd's in the past month (New Pornographers, Shins, TV on the Radio, Killers, et cetera) and listened to many good songs but I want some great music. Help me out.

synopsis

I have found a solution to the Israel/Palestine quagmire. Jerusalem needs to turn into the Vatican of the Middle East. The Vatican has their own currency, their own rules, and their own “government” of sorts. After dozens of talks with renowned Middle East Expert Adam Elrashidi, I have decided this is the best plan of action. It seems to me that the main problem is the fight over the land of Jerusalem (seeing as this is the holy land for three major religions.) It seems to me if they can’t play nice, then nobody should have the land. In addition, more things will happen. One, Palestine will become a country affective immediately with their own government and a prominent seat in the United Nations. Jerusalem will at once leave the new state of Palestine with strong promises by the state of Palestine that they, and the other Middle Eastern nations will cease further threats and attacks on the Israeli people. The Israeli people will continue thrive and morale will never be higher. America will also refuse any more financial military gifts to Israel thus appeasing our friends Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, et cetera. With the escalating situation with Iran, we will need all of the friends we get. In addition, the middle east will focus heavy man power and financial resources to Afghanistan. We cannot let Afghanistan fail and have the Taliban rule a country again. The equivalent would be to let the Ku Klux Klan rule a country.

I would love to go into further detail of my thoughts but I doubt anybody would have interest in my thoughts but I thought a five page thesis on the political landscape of Jerusalem would bore everyone.

Old Man Winter

It's about that time. It is really about that time.

It's time for winter to end and for spring to arrive. There's the old expression, "If winter starts in March like a lion it will leave like a lamb." This weekend was a huge fucking lion! I have heard reports that it snowed any where from 10 to 15 inches in Minneapolis. It took me over ten minutes just to shovel the snow away from car so I could drive. Hello California. Hello Arizona. Hello Florida. The haters and snow lovers say, "Don't you like winter sports? Don't you love ice fishing and snowmobiling? The answer is no. Except for two man luge with Nimit, I am not a winter sport guy. I've heard that Arizona has over four months of 100 degrees or more. I'll take it. I never want to experience weather like today and I definitely don't want to experience weather like two weeks ago (highs of -10). Who's with me?

Britney Shears?

I am fed up with the so called “news” industry when it comes to current events. Nobody I know cares at all about who gets Anna Nicole Smith’s body. Nobody I know cares if Britney Spears spent only twelve hours instead of the full 24 hours at a mental rehabilitation center. Why can’t we go back to the good ole’ days where celebrity scuttlebutt was left to the tabloids and real news is covered by newspapers, CNN, et cetera. The cover of pretty much every online news source today has been about Anna Nicole Smith. I’m tired of it. I really can’t stand celebrity gossip. Who cares! It does not bother me or concern me at all if Britney Spears cuts her hair, yet I have to listen to, what seems like, hours at work at poor Miss Spears. Yes, poor Miss Spears. Maybe you should stop partying with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan and be at home with your infant and toddler! There is a reason that kids are getting dumber and dumber, fewer children are voting and test scores are down. Are news sources are polluting our brains with this filth. We have a new powerful enemy in Iran who everyday threatens our freedom. We have reached a wonderful peace treaty with North Korea that has received almost zero publicity. Someone, maybe Condi Rice, should be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for that. Everybody wins and instead I go to msnbc.com and all I get is Anna Nicole Smith. We should be ashamed of ourselves.

Outfoxed part II

Rupert Murdoch and his minions at Fox News never seem to amaze me at how low they will go in the pursuit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of capitalism. The brain trust at Fox News has recently decided that comedians, and in particular, late night TV hosts (Leno, Letterman, et cetera) are too liberal and are hurting America. So they have created their own late night "comedy" show called The Half Hour News Hour. (Clearly to rival The Daily Show). It is on Sunday Nights at 9:00 Central Time. I watched it for a half hour last Sunday and it was the biggest piece of shit to hit TV since Flavor Flav graced us with his prescence (and abundance of gaudy clocks). The show was full of idiotic and juvenille Bill Clinton jokes, and a "funny" monologue by one of the two numb nuts.. err... hosts about how stupid hippies are and how dumb they are to wear their Che Guevara shirts around. The hosts then proceeded to say Guevara was worse then Chairman Mao Zedong and Dictator Idi Amin. Che Guevara rescued his people from and evil Spanish dictator. Mao Zedong tortured and starved millions of Chinese and former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin killed and then ATE his political rivals and enemies. Fox News; you are hurting America!

Out - Foxed!

Let me just start out by saying I had forgot about how much I hate Fox News.

I hate pretty much everything about them. I hate that they pretend to be a news channel, I hate that they make up lies. For instance, when they say, "Studies say that liberals have lower IQ scores then conservatives." What are these fake studies? Or when they pose idiotic questions on the bottom of their scroll. "Are liberal congressmen in cahoots with the Taliban?" That way they aren't accusing liberals of being in cahoots, they're just simply asking a question. I was reading a USA TODAY article where a journalist was interviewing Roger Ailes (President of FoxNews and first cousin George W. Bush) about his newest project. He and Rupert Murdoch are developing Fox Business. A new channel that is described as openly very pro-business. Ailes described CNBC as way too liberal and "scandal happy". How on earth can you describe CNBC as too liberal? That's just what we need more brainwashing, all giant corporations are benevolent shit being thrown in my face.
