I'm not ready yet!

Wait a second! I did not say it could get this cold this quick. Just last week I was comfortable walking around with a long sleeve t-shirt on and now I have my winter-coat and I am still cold out. For selfish reasons, I was hoping the cold would hold off until after Halloween. Oh well.

1. I saw the movie Greenberg. I was pretty excited to see this Ben Stiller indie film. I came away pretty disappointed. The movie was slow, poorly written, unfunny, and pointless. I give the movie a C.

2. Did anyone else watch President Obama on The Daily Show last night? I watched it with my roommates. I thought Obama was as charming as usual but it's too little too late. I think the Democrats will probably lose about eight seats in the senate and 55 seats in the house. Obama has no one to blame but himself. I was actually surprised by how fierce Jon Stewart went after Obama. He was upset, sardonic, and was not there to play nice or get laughs. He had legitimate concerns with Obama's health care stance, and lack of economic progress and went after him hard. Yes, Stewart is a progressive and a comedian, but when needed to be, the man can be a really solid interviewer. In a way Stewart, represents the reason why Democrats will do so poorly in the election. Often times, Obama's toughest critics today were his biggest supporters two years ago. Those same liberals who gave all their savings and all their free time to get him elected who are bitter that their agenda has not come as quickly as they hoped. Those same people are not volunteering like their Republican counterparts, they are not donating money, and in many parts, they are simply not voting. Yes, of course I am going to vote on Tuesday. I am an American and I believe it is part of my civil duty to vote. However, it's not like I can't understand why some of the most fervent Obama supporters two years ago, five days from now, are simply going to sit at home.

3. After a pretty awful year so far of Glee, they have regained my attention with the Rocky Horror Picture Show episode. The music was excellent. The story was interesting. It is the first episode this year I give an A. I have been pretty disappointed overall with this year's TV line-up. Nothing is as good as it was last year. I don't watch a ton of shows, but the ones I do watch (30 Rock, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Community, Big Bang Theory, and Glee) none are as good as last year.

4. Fortunately, Conan comes back soon. Speaking of his return, if you do read Rolling Stone magazine like I do, let me know your thoughts on Conan's cover article. If not, find a copy and read it. Warning though, it's not funny. It more was Conan opening up a vain and going into his deep depression he has worked out of. Really good read.

5. I am getting over a several day battle with the stomach flu. Suck it up, pay the $30.00 and get the flu shot. I was planning on getting one but I figured flu season hadn't really started yet. Go to Walgreen's and get it taken care of. You really have no excuse not to get it taken care of.

I disagree on Glee slightly - Rocky Horror was awesome, but so was Duets, I thought. And Britney/Brittany was a good idea and I enjoyed it but they could have done more with it. Everything else has been shaky. 30 Rock was SO amazing last season, I hope they can keep momentum up while they have interest piqued.
